The past 20 years has seen a remarkable change in the landscape for knowledge work and learning. With the advent of Web 2.0 tools such as wikis, blogs, social networks and social bookmarking and with the explosion of information sources and increased accessibility of experts around the world, there’s a growing gap between the skills that most knowledge workers possess and the resources available to them. New work and learning literacies are beginning to emerge. Yet few organizations are doing what’s needed to help their workforce stay in front of these trends. more

I've got the serious mutters about not being able to attend this session! I will be sitting in a freezing club house on the side of an athletics track with no access to the Internet, while my son works on his sprints!
