Hi George,
Although I was connected for several hours, I could only partially address the sessions (the work, you know). :-(
But I can tell you that I was liked the data visualization (on-line and immediate) :-) and , a few hours later, I remember…
The presentations today have given me more questions about knowledge. We are aware that technology tools are shaping the way we develop, contribute and distribute information but are these tools and collaborative processes changing knowledge itself?
It was pleasing to see Wave come into this - it is an exciting tool. While something of an experiment and full of bugs it does allow us to see into the future a little. I am hoping 'wave' by its very nature will enable/encourage like minded thinkers…
George, thanks for deleting "Lavon." There's another spammer, MichaelJohns (or something like that) who came through yesterday, leaving nonsensical messages about a moving service in Delhi. Check Al FUs page - one of the messages is on it as well.
George.. I am listening to a the David Wienberger talk. You asked the question (approx) "How do we get [people to have] clear focussed aims through distributed means". What an insightful question! I would love to know where this comes from for you.. For me I hear that there is primarily a recognition about having a meaningful goal in the first place (for any group - distributed or not). Can I hear your thoughts on that point first ( because I think the "distributed group" part is probably straight forward). Really appreciated your clear moderatorship.
